Help! Extra-Plate in NYC

Hi everyone,

After wearing my trusty Rolex datejust daily for the last 7 years, I am excited to be very close to pulling the trigger on my first Vacheron Constantin purchase and need your expert advice.

1. What are your opinions of the Patrimony Extra-Plate model - 31.5m diameter? is the 23.5m version meant for ladies?

2. I am planning on only wearing this once every 1-2 weeks for special business meetings or social nights out... I am a young professional in finance, I understand rose gold is classic but white gold is "trendier" (at least at the moment)?

3. I have seen this watch offered new up to 30-40% off MSRP from online "grey market" dealers but recognize the tradeoffs. As I live in NYC, would I be better served going to an established AD and attempting to negotiate down? I am a newbie, roughly what % is reasonable if I am dealing with one of the "larger luxury retail chains" (10-15% off MSRP and pay no tax)? ... alternatively, if anyone has had favorable experiences with a particular AD they can recommend, it would be great to chat privately via email edencorps@hotmail.com

4. Does anyone use a manual watch winder for their manual movement watches? Appears Orbita's Sempre is an attractive alternative.
