It took me some time to warm up to this iteration of the 1972, but warm up I did! I have come to really admire this model. It was a reimagination of the original Prestige de la France, and I think VC did a wonderful job with it. They really did reinvent the 1972 line with this model and gave it new life. Perhaps the chunkier shape, the thicker bezel compared to the original and the slightly exploding numerals help it wear larger than its actual dimensions would suggest. In any case, it looks great on your wrist. Thanks for sharing the photos.

I’d happily take ANY 1972. Still looks fresh, a bit futuristic, a bit Deco, but all good. And a VC as the cherry on top. Ano “Who needs parallel case sides, anyway?” Nuevo
