VC perpetual novelty that is more delightful in person than in pics
Had the chance to see this in person at Watches & Wonders and the aspects that have seemed contrived in the photos that I've seen before feel very natural in the actual watch. I love the way they've chosen to expose just the functions that are right below the dial, and they did a texture which creates a perfect backdrop for looking at them

That does look better than in the publicity shots. Is it the complete calendar, rather than the perpetual? Can you see any anything moving through the dial? I like the older open work complete calendar models but the lack of a seconds hand makes for a sta...

I’m glad to know that it’s much better in reality than in photos (as is very often the case, btw). I’m still not fond of the Maltese anniversary pattern, but the Complete Calendar is so openface that there’s not a lot of the solid dial to be seen anyway. ...
Am I the only one seeing a smiling face?
Not that I have anything against smiling faces, but this feels a little off. I don’t see a watch dial, I see a cartoonish face. Just me?
