Thanks for sharing that detail about the hands
Apr 16, 2019,13:14 PM
I had wondered about that and keep forgetting to ask if the hands were also made of platinum. Nice!
It is a shame that you do not wear the slate gray dial version you have more often. I have seen yours...it is stunning and deserves to be worn. I must admit that while I have not seen the CEP version in the metal yet, I think I still prefer the gray dial that you have. I have had a real thing for that watch since it first came out. It is still a thrill every time I see one or see even a photo of one.
I agree with what you have said about the "Pt. 950" inscribed on the dial. I am always surprised at what a fuss is made over this as it is, in practice on the wrist, so subtle a detail that really only shows in close-up photos. And yet every time a CEP piece is announced, a number of forum members declare it a disaster. Having lived with the CEP Patrimony Contemporaine (ref. 81180) for many years now, it is a minor design detail and one that perhaps means something special to the owners even if it offends others.
Nice to see you here as always.

I think all of the watches in that collection have platinum dials that are marked in the same way. I think it detracts from the dial and I prefer the other available colors anyway.
ROFL 🤣 [nt]

I agree. It’s a magnificent time piece. Introvert beauty so why on earth is they had to put Pt950 on the dial? A VC doesn’t need that.
looks great & i like the dial but...

IMHO when i look to the same Pt case with the grey dial in the catalog - the premium is difficult to justify. thanks for sharing. Best, mahesh.,
I love it

The watch was shown at the SIHH and I found it as likeable as my previous ones. ...
I really could have used a warning before the last photo. :-D

I think the CEP pieces really appeal to a particular sub-goup of collectors among which I count myself. That is an incredible trio you have...honestly jaw dropping amazing. I love seeing the "Pt. 950" inscribed on each dial, too. ;-) All the best, Robert
Flat and bland, and a missed opportunity

It is cute but (disclosure I own a pink gold version).... It's a bit of a shame that the flat frosty finish of the dial negates the depth that is achieved in the standard pieces where the subseconds dial is cut with concentric finish. The minute track als...
Platinum details

I learned yesterday, upon first seeing this in the metal, that platinum is used not only for the case, dial, and strap threads, but also for the hands. I found the "Pt950" on the dial barely visible without magnification. It certainly isn't "showy," as it...
