does it sleep when on 1.2Hz mode?

but it slows down to a power-saving 1.2 Hz oscillation, which allows it to go on for 65 days until power runs down. In active mode at 5 Hz, power reserve is 4 days. The video at mdg‘s post above shows how it works. Best, Daniel

Examples like this is probably what appeals to me most in contemporary watchmaking. A little of the old; perpetual calendar, a little of the new; use of sapphire layers, and some innovation; the twin beat feature. In my opinion, this is just a super cool ... 

The combination of old school technology and traditional craftsmanship combined with avant-garde movement and design is what the Twin Beat is about for me. Shows VC‘s enormous capabilities like no other of their watches imho. Thanks for the appreciation, ...
