Your analysis regarding changing markets is, in my view, spot on.

I also fully agree that the Overseas is not only a success from day 1, but it would appear that the rate of success is increasing as time progresses. Careful well thought out introduction of newer versions with different complications while preserving those elements that characterize the series (like you mentioned the special blue hue, the strap system etc) is fantastic.

I have posted many times that the strap system is a feature not to be underestimated. It may seem so simple even insignificant, but once you’re used to it, you’ll find out that you want it on all watches.

Personally I belong to the “old school” and its unlikely I would consider a tourbillion overseas. But I was one of the early adopters and have the chrono version (blue dial) which is absolutely great watch

Thanks for your post

No one can deny it: Vacheron Constantin's Overseas collection is enjoying growing success and the waiting lists for the various models are getting longer and longer. There are several reasons for this phenomenon. First of all, there is a very specific mar...

At first I didn’t really „get“ this version of the Overseas but I must say it is constantly groewing on me. I need to see the pink gold version, too!

Many thanks for the great review…

I love complications in steel...

...but the 42.5mm seems a bit large to me. I am guessing that it is because of the peripheral rotor. In a perfect world the tourbillon would be visible only from the back.

It cetainly is a gorgeous watch... The blue dial is scrumptious 🤪

As is the three hand w/date piece, also stunning.... , your dual time as well. For those that need it all, the tourbillon piece is very special indeed.

I have always admired tourbillon watches and want one, but at their price-point, like this one, I can just look and admire only. The reivew was very well written not only about this model but also about VC, the Overseas series, and the current recognition...
