I’ve been giving a lot of attention to the manual winding Patrimony Contemporaine, reference 81180, of late. Its companion in the Patrimony Traditionnelle family of watches has been feeling jealous and has asked for some attention. I am more than happy to...

It is a beautiful watch in any metal. While I like white gold for the stealth factor, when it comes to a slim 38 mm watch, rose gold doesn't exactly scream out for attention. Bill

and would be happy with any number of watches from each collection. There some are days when I prefer the minimalistic (but not boring) quality of the Contemporaine and other days when I prefer the "designed" Traditionnelle. Bill

This Patrimony in a 38 mm case looks like the perfect Patrimony for me. The adequation with the Calibre is better tha on the American 1921, where the 4400 seems to be a bit lost. The case is superb. So is the dial. An excellent VC. Best, Nicolas.

While I adore the American 1921, I recognize that it is not the watch for everyone. I would recommend this Patrimony Traditionnelle to anyone looking for a high-end gold watch. Bill
