behind the size of this clock? Hopefully a grand desk stand or other display platform was included. The seven years to design and construct includes shared development with the Ref 57260 and its similar architecture with carillon. According to an interview with Jiaxian Su, the owner apparently had two basic requirements; artwork by Porchet and a five hammer-and-gong Westminster sonnerie, with the tourbillon added for flash. Perhaps the size was required for best sound or to maximize the enamel, or possibly it was just inherited from the calibre 3750 which shares the same case diameter.
