LOL, I recall wearing this Overseas to SIHH some years back and creating a stir with the younger designers, but the boss just wrinkled his nose and pronounced, "brutal".

Composite materials (aka ceramics) are well known and spread, but they (brands) pretend to have discovered and developed them!

tick-talk, I studied both photos for congruency. The only detail in commonality was the colour black. Is that the imitation? The case shapes are different. The bezels are different. The materials are different. The dial decorations and markers are differe... 

I think the one and only black forerunner is the famous RO

Ah...officially, Yes the black Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. .. But, there were other non production watches... I'm in a pub now and must hold my own counsel.... MTF
