I've found this to be true too...
Apr 10, 2019,13:06 PM
I travel enough that it's easy to take the VC triple calendar with me, enjoy it, and just make a few updates with a toothpick on the flight home. I also appreciate the functionality. The triple calendar has its 'historical innovation' place on the road to mass-produced perpetual watches, like many other antiquated functions that we still enjoy in our little machines.
We've also had decades of military-inspired tool watch tributes, but one niche that I would like to see more of is the refined man's watch of the mid-20th Century. A stainless steel (or sometimes gold) everyday casual-dress watch like the VC triple calendar that I can dress up or down and go anywhere/do anything. JLC has had that market covered, but I haven't seen the same 'everyday casual-dress tributes' from VC, AP or PP.
Kind regards,
Dan

Great Travel Watch (Overseas WT)
By: RichardD : April 9th, 2019-14:43
Personally I find hustling luggage through airports and taxis to be a pretty rough environment for a precious metal watch, so I really like the VC WT (steel case, included rubber strap, genuinely waterproof) for a true traveler's watch. Hard to think of a...

I like the triple calendar a lot

It will be much easier to set when it runs down than the complete calendar. The numeral and dial design is among my favorites for a vintage inspired piece.

The Overseas WT is a nice travel companion.

It's too large for my wrist, that's why I prefer the Traditionelle WT (especially in the Excellence Platine version - but that's another story then). My Overseas Time-Date is a watch I often take with me on trips, along with the other straps. You then hav...

... And I have to say, the Overseas Worldtime, what with its steel case and multitude of strap options, is really a superb watch. While I totally dig the rubber strap (on the left), It is definitely worth mentioning that it appears only Vacheron Constanti...

In blue and as others have said I like the relative ease of setting it. And being in steel I don’t worry so much about wearing it as perhaps I would had I bought the gold. ...
