Some types of patina are perfectly acceptable, and this is a good example. It's pretty heavy, and includes spotting, but it's honest ageing and not "damage". I separate the two by incident. If it gets wet, damage, if it lays in a drawer and tarnishes over a long period of time, that is a more natural ageing. That natural ageing has an esthetic all it's own. Damage is sad, ageing is charm.
