Do you recall Alex's Guilloche "Wedding Cake" dial watch. That was/is the best I've ever seen.

The GP dial is really close. Alex's watch also had a VC Mushroom crown. Go find one of those.

I love everything about this pic - that enamel dial is hard to resist.

As it turned out, the grand feu enamel dial was impossible to resist. ;-) ...  

I did not know the blue ink version, what was this to commemorate? I know red 12, the limited blue, and regular black ink. This ref intrigued me, however, never seen in person. I love the vintage look especially the case and lugs, but not sure if that mea... 

I haven't seen this one before, and the Maltese Cross at 6 is a superb touch. Is this bespoke? Please tell the backstory...

It is an Ateliers Cabinotiers piece from 2008, Dean. The Maltese Cross in the minutes track is a nice detail, isn't it? The "&" also makes an appearance on the rotor as in the regular production and other versions. Cheers, respo

I like the version that came after this one (with that cream off-white enamel dial) even better than this (also truly magnificent) almost black dial (but I belief it’s very very dark grey-blue isn’t)

...It was an inspired decision by the designers to include the "&" in this reference. As far as I know, they have not repeated that detail in any other reference since. I wonder if VC's Cabinotiers program would even allow the use of "&" in a bespoke mode... 

I’m willing to bet you the answer is no. Not even special order Cabonitiers will allow to use

but I also really like the re-edition 1958 Geophysic, in platinum for the dial. It would make a great photo paired with VC Chronometre Royal 1907. Probably couldn't be considered "cousins" any longer, but good friends
