See how the watch fits your wrist so beautifully smile. What a charming dial, the lugs and the Cordovan strap is a perfect match! It will be very difficult to not keep staring at your watch. If you sit next to me in a restaurant, you will see me staring silly in your direction smile

Hunkered down at home and spending time changing shoes for my CDV 1955. I think this is a better choice ...

Looks Great. Matches the watch.

Is this famous Metta Catharina russian leather? At least structure of leather looks like. Very nice strap.

Wow...

You have very sharp eyes. It is Metta Catharina strap. I think these straps matches most white metal watches very well.

This strap is a killer.

Don’t get me wrong, Your watch is stunning, but this strap is unique . Metta leather has so great history and is almost impossible to get anymore. Congratulations.

Haha... I think the strap is the winner here.

A good strap can make any watch stands out charmingly. That's why I also really love Gay Freres bracelet.

Those MC straps are nice ... I have one for my Panerai from the early days when the leather became available.

Oh, and a Purdey keychain with the same leather. It's great leather! Kind regards, Dan

...thank you for sharing. I have a similar strap combo from a 'Tokyo' strap maker for my VC 1942 calendar! Such a great vintage look for VCs. Kind regards, Dan

cool... share a photo here.

I love the VC 1942 calendar. I was hoping they were the 38mm in size when they first launched. I have a small wrist. I have seen it on others with bigger wrist and they look fantastic.

Here are a couple of shots...

...on a cordovan strap. I have bigger wrists (7.25 inches), but I think with the shaped lugs and slim profile, it wears more like a 38 or 39mm diameter. Kind regards, Dan ...

... that it will also sit beautifully on your wrist and would make a fantastic pair with your Cornes de Vache 1955. πŸ˜πŸ‘ I'm hoping to do a 'VC hat trick' with the 1955 at some point, along with the Overseas and 1942. Kind regards, Dan

Trust me :-)

I have tried so many times that my wife thinks this is my compulsive behavior. Every time I see one, I just cannot resist it. I envy your wrist . Maybe I will get the vintage version that's restored by VC. I have told the boutique to inform me whenever th...

A vintage example would...

Nah...It won't win

Usually collectors are against restored vintage piece , even those done by the manufacturer. I'm indifferent towards this as long it is done by VC itself. Still, a better piece will be the one you have where you will start the history and it eventually wi...

I'm also fine if the manufacturer restores a watch...

...this is how things were done in the past before the collector craze (and I still think a sympathetically-restored VC is better than the new ones). My only caveat is that they keep the dial original, unless it's absolutely destroyed. But I'm more of a h...

Thanks !!!

I spend 3 hours trying to change the strap. So difficult to remove it. What a task!!! I can never be a watchmaker in my next life.

I know these two rules...

but it seems like I tend to break them, especially in such times. I prefer my soft eye sight
