They do have some marketing geniuses at Richemont. Another example is the Lange Odysseus being released as two separate references depending on the strap.

but one who paid at Philips auction 106k $ for the prototype won't be happy that actually the same dual time is released...
It's a bit different, the prototype was tantalum and titanium
with a slightly different color dial and rotor engraving. This one is steel and titanium and does not come with a metal bracelet.

Congratulations to the VIP collectors, whatever fraction of the buyers they are nowadays. Available on the grey market for 80K soon ... I also find this ridiculous, at least don't make it a limited edition so that the flippers have to think a bit harder b...
Should we expect anything less from a brand making limited/vip straps?
I had asked the boutique about this months ago when the rumors started and they knew nothing about it and today they are not all allocated but vip only so either way not available to me. Meh. Another reminder not to buy from a Richemont brand.

When the prototype duall time was announced several years ago, it became a dream watch for me (see remote post by me!)
Now that there are 150 being made of a near duplicate model, I can only say, "if only i had $31,000.00+ laying around as spare change". The price is outrageous. Maybe in a few years I can get a gently used one for $15K, which seems more grounded pricewise...

but these ever trading under retail seems fantasy. Even the non-limited editions of the OS trade well over retail used. Awesome watches though, hoping for a 3-hander version of this.
