Rol Thunderbird (Thurn-O-Graph) started in 1953 with 6202. Initially it was quasi Sub )) Later rotating bezel was part of Datejust family. Of course, Rolex has priority for rotating bezel I'm not sure, when did V&C started to produce 6782 (my is from 1964...

Both are lovely pieces but my favorite

is the T-bird and yours is in remarkable shape, congratulations The earliest I have recorded is of 1963 manufacture, with a gold tapestry dial and baton hands. I see you have the original certificate of origin! Aside from dials, cases for the 6782 were al...

Thank you, Dean!

I haven't seen one in person, only auction photos... In addition to yours with vertical indexes, some other dial variations are very pleasing like this with horizontal indexes and inset onyx... And just to conclude with another unusual variation are those...

Merci Dean!

I think, the idea with the rotating bezel was quite popular at that time... But in V&C used just this idea, on the last pic we see direct copy-paste ))) WBR Serge

Do you have the original catalogue pictures

Here it is but

alas the buckle isn't pictured. I would assume it was square, typical for the period. Happy Christmas! ...

It is hard to check...

the first example may have been a custom creation. Would be interesting to hear from the Heritage Department on it. Kids are arriving on the plane today so see you all in the New Year

Thank you, Dean!

In Msk VC boutique I've been told, this second buckle seems to be original according to database, but there is no info about shape, only the size (20 x 14 mm). Have a good time! Warmest hugs to Canada! ) WBR Serge
