Its a unique piece. I have seen it on a picture once but never in the metal.
I am personally not a big fan of open worked watches but I do recognize the incredible craftsmanship that goes in.
Just look at the barrel which has that engraved Maltezer Cross on it.
I have had the privilege to meet the VC master engraver and I have seen her work. Engraving such a cross is a work of art in itself.
The cushion shape? I realize many don’t like it, but I love them. Plus I find them very comfortable to wear

Quite like it
I could do without the open dial, but the rest of the watch is really nice. I particularly like the case and pushers. In my view, Vacheron makes some of the best, and most original cases in the industry.
One of these found me a few days ago.
It's even better in person, and I agree it wears larger than 37mm. Also, this might be ultimate Lemania 1872 execution. The things I encounter at work... Best, Tim
It was good for it's time.
This is 90s to early 2000 quality. But looks a little rough now. With better machines and resurgence of old techniques, newer can always surpass the old stuff, if the maker puts his/her/its mind to it.

...love the case shape and the size seems right. Just wish there was a bit more contrast with the hour/minute hands.

I like the design, but the movement is a weak spot
If I remember correctly, VC chose the Lemania cal. 1873 as the basis for this line. I prefer the cal. 2320 for the nicer appearance and traditional design.
