Need help to date my VC

Hello all, I had this VC from my late uncle, it is in very good condition and it is working perfectly, I would like to show it to you so you can help me in dating it, I found some websites with serials/dates schemes but I'm not sure. Those are the datas: ...

You can submit those numbers to the New York Boutique (or you can ask our esteemed Moderator Bill) and they will check with the archives in Switzerland and get back to you with a date of manufacture. Just recently, you can also submit the numbers via any ...

About the dial

Thank you, I found an article that says that double number on the case back started in 1950. What do you think about this dial, haven't seen dials like this one when searching for same dates on the web.

Vacheron offered many dial variations back then....

even in the same reference (meaning case design), so it is not surprising that you would see other dials as you did your research on that particular reference number. You have a very clean example. Bill

I love it...

I really love that clean dial I have, I'm surprised how precise this watch is. I think it rested in a safe for about 20 years, I've charged it for the first time a week ago and it hasn't missed a second. I'm going to look for a black strap and an appropri...

gloss finished strap with rolled edges on their vintage watches, which really dresses them up nicely, but might not suit you for daily wear. I generally prefer matte finishes for straps. Finding an authentic buckle from that time period is nearly impossib...

is still available and can be ordered from VC. They are more expensive since there is more gold used. Rembordé straps can be had with or without stitching although I believe VC makes only the one's with stitching (or has them made). You could probably ord...

Sometime during it's life,

the dial was refinished, at least if what I see is accurate that there is no SWISS present under 6 o'clock and the accent is missing from Genève at 12 o'clock. That makes it look very fresh and hopefully the job was done well so it will last many years. A...

I thought the same about the dial as I read on the web what you are telling me. No accent and no Swiss, but the re-work is very well done. I wanted to share with you a picture of the bracelet that came with the watch, it's not obviously VC. Is what my unc...

Without the exact knowledge from the heritage department,

 By: yesjb : January 16th, 2013-19:06
I would say between 1952-1953, That's based on other watches with the similar movement and case numbers. But it could have actually been completed as late as the end of 1953. By 1954 the numbers are more likely to have been 520xxx The Heritage Dept would ...

Mine is in rose gold, with "swiss made" on the dial, no gold cross and no accent on GENEVE. Vacheron at Genève asked me if I was not selling it for their private collection...
