My new CDV

After much deliberation, and several visits to the VC, PP, and ALS boutiques in NY, I finally pulled the trigger on a Cornes de Vache in platinum. It’s incredibly comfortable, even with the heft of platinum. I love the blue tachy scale, which creates visu...

The photo you post is

a very honest iimage of this watch. It is very handsome and elegant. I love looking at it. Be careful when you strao this and walk on the street, try to look out for traffic and stop staring at the dial. This is truly a great purchase. Congrats!!!

Great choice

Congratulations on a beautiful acquisition! Park

Interesting you say that

The 5170 and 1815 chrono were the only other two watches I seriously considered, because they both fit my desire for a sub-40mm dress chrono that isn’t too thick. They are both lovely watches, of course. I particularly like the 1815 chrono, but I already ...

Now we’re talking watches. Huge congrats and wear it in good health Just one thing in your message I didn’t understand; you mentioned “after huge deliberation” but how is that possible with such an incredible piece haha From a VC addict

It's a beautiful watch. The total package of case, dial, hands, and movement is something that VC does exceptionally well.

Thank you

Thank you all for the encouraging words. I love the watch, which is also my first VC. I had to go on a business trip the day after my watch arrived and didn’t want to risk going through airport security with it, so I’ve been away from it the past 2 days. ...

Love it!

Congratulations! It's a stunning piece and I much preferred this dial over the stainless steel version. It's pretty noticeable side by side and I love the heft of platinum. I've been told by the VC boutique that the platinum version is being discontinued....

Noticeable in what way?

 By: CL : February 14th, 2020-10:23
I think both the platinum dial and the SS dial are beautiful and different. If you think it is noticeable side by side that one is better than the other, it is just very subjective and meaningless. I have seen all 4 pieces and there's one for everyone. Wh...

Discontinued

 By: MPP : February 14th, 2020-12:57
The platinum model is definitely being discontinued. My local AD said he couldn’t get one any more. The VC boutique in NY said they would try, but thought it unlikely because no more are being made. I ended up finding one on grey market.

Division of the seconds scale

 By: ammerix1 : April 20th, 2020-10:34
After purchising mine in Pt it was made clear to me that the 4 thin lines between the thick lines on the seconds scale of the chronograph did not correspond with the increased frequency of the modernized movement. That caused me some sadness and worry unt...

Wow...

How did you even spot such detail? Can you explain why the 4 lines in thePT version is an 'issue'? I don't quite follow. Thanks.

I catch my breath when I see this incredibly beautiful watch. Cornes de Vache lugs are simply unmatched and the unique design feature of Vacheron Constantin. You couldn't have designed and built this watch more beautifully. I wish you a lot of joy and fun...
