A picture of a Vacheron Constantin Mercator in Yellow Gold, the " Russia ".

Just for the pleasure of the eyes. And god knows how much a Mercator is a feast for the eyes. Romantic, original, beautiful. Nicer than that, the Enamel Champlevé series, of course, but it is hard to deny the beauty of this watch and of this sculptured go...

A Superb Classic From VC ! [nt]

Confidence

When a top notch manufacture like VC produces a watch like this, then that’s a sign of great confidence in their abilities and their name. And I mean that in the most positive manner

Indeed

I like this one a lot. I actually prefer it to the emamel dial version, this monochrome style is just very elegant yet powerful! Thanks for sharing it, Nico. Daniel

Very beautiful piece from VC.

I've never seen one in the flesh. Maybe someday. M4

Wow!

Wonderful! I didn't know that something like this existed at all! And I see that they produce different dials for different portions of the globe!

Holy Mackerel, Nico! What an understated beauty!

You have many enviable timepieces, but this ranks very high for me. There's something coin-like about the dial (this may be stating the obvious, but as I'd never before seen this splendid thing…), and… I don't know… just wonderful! Whatever do you wear it...

The thing about the Mercator is...

 By: respo : October 2nd, 2019-07:36
...there is one to suit every taste and geographical location. ;-) But they are ALL to be admired. respo ...

So good!! [nt]

Kind of difficult...

 By: mdg : October 2nd, 2019-16:51
...to tell the time. But who cares? These are completely impractical, but they are wearable art...fantastic.

Picture of the movement...

I recall the last one for sale in the Geneva Boutique many years ago with a discount. I can’t remember the number of pieces made, but it was low in number. Beautiful rare watch!
