This is the version I was looking for before getting the blue dial Gen3. Sadly but not unexpectedly none of these rare creatures was on the market.
This is by far the best Gen2 OS imho - especially on the blue-red strap.

Remember this one, best color scheme on perpetual VCO for sure... but I always loved red details, USA edition being my favorite of all VCO Chronos...
The red touches really make the dial on this one...
...but my eternal ‘issue’ with VC perpetuals (and they are the biggest offender) is cramming all 48 months into one sub-dial.
That is an unbelievable VC but I do have to say that I would have preferred that they did not put all 48 months into one counter...
The leap year counter would have been enough. Regardless, this watch is an amazing piece and could be a 1 watch collection as it is so versatile.
Also, to be super picky...
use a small, applied Maltese Cross (if you must) and get rid of the 'Vacheron Constantin' text that breaks the plane of the sub-seconds dial. You bought the watch, you know the brand. It's already on the back of the watch...that should suffice.
