I love the dial; however, I am not a fan of the contrast stitching on the strap. --Chris

I like the touches of red on this better than on the American Overseas I wrote about just below. My favorite Malte Chronograph still has to be the Excellence Platine version, which launched the EP collection in 2006. Bill
Very........interesting

Its a cognitive jolt to see the sport clues of red accents on dial and strap, mixed with the classic lines of the Malte case.
A touch o fearlessness.

I prefer this to the normal WG version but my ultimate choice is the Les Historiques ala Salmon dial. you have corrupted me. Regards Tyler
Agree. :))

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Regard Tyler
It would be a cracking piece....

without the red IMO. It becomes too sporty now .... and it doesn't really fit the sports watch category IMO. Thanks for sharing Nico, I wish I could see it in the metal to make a better judgement. :) Best Fernando
My friend let it to me for the whole afternoon.

And I have to confess that wearing a Malte Chrono is a big pleasure. And it brought some excellent memories. I regret having sold mine, some 5 years ago... I could have asked Vacheron to put a black dial, without these red accents though. Well, that is li...
A nice piece but exactly like Bill

I am not so into it like the excellence platinum version. Still quite a rare bird with an uncommon sporty touch, thanks for sharing. cheers Francois
Obviously your friend who owns the watch would disagree!!

I'm sure he rocks the look as well. I've always been struck by how people find the right watches for themselves that suit their personality and the way they look. Graham watches do nothing for me, and look silly on me, but I have seen them look fantastic ...
I discussed that point with him. He loves his watch

He loves the Malte Chrono in general, but even if he is happy with it like that, he would have preferred this dial without the red touches. But you're true, too. Vive la Difference! ;) Best, Bill, Nicolas
then it's another watch :)

I don't know if I would have prefered it. Less sporty, les "shocking", les personal too... I am more into the white dial on this watch I think., the normal WG is ok. But in this case I much prefer the former "les Historiques" version and especially the on...
Like rare-bird watching...

It is a pleasure to spy this one with its splash of bright color. As Dean already commented, the sportiness is in contrast to the classic notes of the Malte line. For some it may work and for others it may not. This is not my favorite version of the Malte...
Well, Les Historiques Chrono is still my favourite.

But if VC would have released this Malte Chrono with a sober put powerful black dial, I mean without red touches, I would have died for it. Or killed... Depending on the mood of the day. ;) Best, Nicolas
