UN Ulysse I Chronometer, Platinum LE.

Many would say this design is hopelessly dated, but I loved it when it first came out (and I couldn't afford it), and I've retained a soft spot for it ever since. Anybody know if the dials on these LEs were hand-guillochéd? I recall UN doing some serious hand-guilloché, enamel, and flinqué work back in the day.

Long discontinued

I think it first came out +\-20 years ago as a limited edition in rose gold with a solid case back. I want to say the platinum with exhibition case back came out a few years later, both with this silver dial and in an anthracite-gray dial version. Anyone ...

If it had no date

it wouldn't look dated. Thank you very much, I'll be here all week, 2 shows daily.

Yikes!

But in all seriousness, note how well-integrated and unobtrusive the date window is on this dial.

Thanks for the vote of confidence!

I remember the dial getting critiqued as out-of-fashion for its flamboyance somewhere, but hey - to each their own! I’ll be keeping mine, thank you.
