An amazing Ulysse Nardin Vital.

A tru watch which have the power reserve words that i admire.
Its detail, but it is important for me if i want to collect the watch and wear.
…… Bas Haut.
Yes, the words in French!

The English versions are not my thing.

The same with Grand Feu.
If on a dial the words Great Fire stood, it would be a mistake.

Moonphase without date...

Following the Arnold & Son Luna Magna posted by Nico earlier this week, I had discovered earlier this UN, a very nice version having a moonphase yet no date. A bit large at 42 mm, but a beauty nonetheless. The blue dial in particular is gorgeous. Phot...

A&S LM is nicer, for sure, but multiples of the price.

The UN can stand on its own, of course.

True true...

Quite nice, but yes 42mm is a bit much

going with a 38mm case size (similar to the 1990's UN 1846) would have been excellent here

I quite like the novelty of the moon phase with no date.

Technical yet whimsical. ...

This Lange is one of the nicest examples, no doubt.

Is that honey gold?

Yes. An added bonus.

Gallic. A superb translation. Merci beaucoup.

But then: "Chronometry since 1846"???

Apparently, this is to hide the fact that the Marine Chronometers are no certified chronometers any more. Marcus

From 1846. They made ship clocks. Till 2023 Chronometer perfection. No certification. And UN also have a own seal. They tested the quality by their own. Omega use Metas, an independent company.

Is it a sign of quality if you make your own tests and do not publish the results ....

... nor the test criteria? UN is not alone in this game, there are other brands as well. JLC was one of the first with its 1000 hours test that nodody knows what is really tested and how. Unfortunately, the COSC chronometer test remains one of the very fe...

Knowing this is a UN, am I right in assuming the moonphase control is
