I’m fortunate to know a couple of owners over the years who kindly shared the watches with me.
I’ve had to set them all too, an exercise in patience and finger dexterity! The crowns are imo too small. However they are sized to the case bit my fingers!
Ludwig’s brilliance and Rolf’s vision were unmatched, and I’m not sure if we will ever see that shared vision and execution again.

The good Dr. below is one of the kind owners to share. Btw the automatic base cal UN uses to power these gems is the 2892-A2. A workhorse of an automatic, superbly reliable and able to be regulated well. It has the torque to drive these complications too.

The trilogy should be considered as true marvels. How many watches do we know of are in the Guiness Book of Records or displayed prominently in a museum considered to be one of the most important horological museums?

They have in their history, the best GMT, alarm, perpetual watches in each category as well as truly amazing other complicated pieces that deserve recognition.

You are correct the crowns are small. Yes the ETA movement (thanks for the correct Sir Tim) was used because per Rolf it had the torque required as opposed to other movements they tried.
