I’m not sure I’m understanding everything on first read, I think I need to reread a few more times to get it.

Quick description of some of the functions.

 By: russell996 : January 20th, 2019-14:42
Everything is shown in real time so you see the possibility of an approaching eclipse days ahead. Sun is depicted at 12 0’clock. The Earth rotates anti-clockwise once a day, the moon rotates anti-clockwise once a lunar month - 12 o’clock moon is a new moo...

Thank you for this concise description of the function of this marvellous watch.

Everytime I saw it, I tried to understand the indications. Now its a lot clearer to me. Is there a more in-depth explanation in the internet anywhere? Best regards, Jens

There is a superb book written by Marcus Hanke that explains the working of all 3 pieces in the Trilogy of Time.

Questions.....

Hi Russell, I've seen a few pictures of this here without really understanding what I have been looking at and so I had a few questions. The sunrise is 6:50 or so and sunset is 7:55 or so per current indication, is that right? I assume every watch is adju...

This will test my memory since I'm not wearing the piece today. Essentially the Earth disc is always set to GMT, local time is set by the hands (which are on concentric rings). I'm in the UK so currently local and GMT time are the same. The sun is the sym...

Thank you.

The Tellurium is just fantastic, and reveals the true genius of Ludwig Oechslin! To conceive this astronomical wristwatch is one of the most amazing feats in all of horological IMO. It still stands the test today, 20 plus years later. Cheers, Tim

This tellurium piece is just...

 By: GLau : January 27th, 2019-08:00
superb and unbelievably complicated ! How could someone even think about conceiving such an astronomical instrument on the wrist ??

What is great to understand is how the Planetarium and Tellurium work together.

 By: russell996 : January 27th, 2019-09:17
Essentially the Earth, moon and sun section of the Planetarium is enlarged for the Tellurium. Between the two you can see the whole solar system relating back to life on earth. 👍
