This one has easily become a new favorite for me.  Excuse the crystal fuzz at 12, looks like she needs a wipe down!

Several months I have had this one

But the short size UN strap only recently arrived, so it is much more comfortable now. Caseback shot from arrival (fully serviced at UN before I took possession). With this added hunk of platinum, the piece is extremely substantial. ...

I'll keep after some photos.

One of the best UNs i’ve ever seen!

UNs have an impressive spectrum of watches, including their hourstrikers, Freaks, and then other artistic beauties like this one…and in platinum!

I agree. I had my eyes on it circa 2006

Never got it, and have seen it pop up only a few times over the years. When it presented this time, the circumstances were perfect. One owner watch with all boxes and papers, and a full UN service. Happy to have it

It is everything that makes for a great watch

And nothing added to detract!

UN is a brand that the stock straps leave me on the tightest or 2nd tightest hole.

The short fits me so much better, and I love how this case fits my wrist.

Me too. So pure!

Why was there no...

Sapphire caseback?

I don't know the answer, but am thankful for the solid platinum caseback on this watch.

I only like open casebacks for movements that are really worth showing. Otherwise, I prefer a solid caseback every time.

I would think this..

Movement would be worth viewing.

I will defer to your judgement. (nt)

I suppose YMMV..

On clear casebacks for movement decorations?

All true. (nt)

Sort of dressy without being too classic.

Very much my taste

Tough call there...

I think the winner of Buffalo v Kansas City has a great chance. But the NFC has 4 solid teams too!

This is for sure

a gorgeous piece. May I ask for the case size? 42mm? Best Thomas

UN lists it at 40mm

 By: MichaelC : January 19th, 2022-01:48
It is a real nugget of a watch!

Yes, 40 mm.
