I have always been a fan of the Diver series, and still enjoy the original dimpled dials. But these waves work well for me, and add an interesting depth to the dial. What really seduces me on this particular dial are the shape of the hour markers, which UN has only used on a few models. They're awesome.
Funny you mention the waves; an hour ago as I was staring at the dial and wondered if it would be cool to have a skeletal look with only the waves showing, and everything else opened up. Kind of a more modern rendition of the Surf series.
Finally, I can cross this one off the wishlist.
For a few years I have kept an open eye towards Blue Surf postings. This one came along when everything was aligned to jump. The piece itself was recently serviced, complete, and well priced. Also included the awesome UN bracelet, something we don't focus...
Once again, we are ... Surfing on the same wave.

I do recall you fancy this one. I have owned a few Divers over the years. This Blue Surf seems to be a very complete execution by UN. I believe it will make for a wonderful, no nonsense daily wearer. More to come.

I completely agree with your comments on the depth and color of the dial. The waves and style of this one are executed nicely. The blue lume is a nice touch as well. Definitely one of the great UNs. -Chris

Of course it has only been a day, but this is a super piece. Ulysse Nardin really makes a terrific product, and these Divers sure represent a great value in today's watch world.

I have always watched for it.
And I have come close before. But knowing it was a fairly large "LE", I am glad I waited for everything to align properly to get it. For various reasons, the previous ones I almost jumped on were never quite right. Thanks for the warm wishes Art :-)
