Help needed: UN Monopusher LE engraving

 By: Cookies : September 9th, 2020-18:06
Wish everyone a good day. Could anyone advice me on a matter a friend of mine needs help in. He is a watch blogger on Instagram, who like collecting pulsometers. On the LE UN monopusher, he saw 2 versions - one with the LE number engraved on the back, and...

+1

I thought it looked strange without the engraving of the LE number.

Your thoughts

Do you think it was a replacement caseback or from another model?

Good point

The engraved case back appears rather scratched in the photo. How that would happen when flat against a wrist is hard to imagine.

Why didn't I think of that.

Yes it is the most likely reason. I will check with my friend. Thanks

Thanks Blansky

So we are zeroing in on the possibility of a photoshopped picture which removed the numbers. Thanks a lot.

I really like this first version with the solid back.

I bought the later model 386-88 with the display back and multi-scale dial but I quite like the engraved (in relief) backs done by UN on a number of pieces at the time. Dave
