I bought this used UN Executive Dual Time early this year. And 2020 being what it is, the watch started to run erratically. Around this time Covid lockdown hit so instead of sending it into UN, I took it to a local watchmaker whom I've used before on a co...

My rule is that those with a famous brand "unfortunately" to be serviced in their native house, the others to said reliable watchmakers.

Yup. My issue on this though was that with businesses shutting down I was worried sending it out and having it sit somewhere for a year.

I should have just kept it for a few months to wait and see. UN was pretty fast (10 weeks) when I finally sent it in. The original watchmaker refunded my money so all's well that ends well. The entire watch is now new except for the case and crystal. New ... 

I guess the lesson to bring home here is to, at least in general, try to always go through official channels to service our watches...

More expensive and time consuming, but most often safest option, at least for our better pieces😉Glad that eventually your UN came back in perfect shape!

For what it’s worth my recent purchase at Ulysse Nardin came with 2 years warranty, which qualified for a warranty extension for another 3 years. All done online....
