To précis some web info & add a bit of my own: During the 1970’s Ulysse Nardin used ETA movements as a base. In the case of the UN 36000 COSC Chronometers, the cal. ETA 2826 was used, and the reworked movement was designated cal. NB 11 QU. It features 25 jewels, a screwless Glucydur balance, a self-compensating flat hairspring, Incabloc shock resistance, and fine regulator adjustment by eccentric screw. The movement also features quickset date (first click of crown) and hacking function. According to the Ranfft website, only 1,000 of these movements were produced from 1974, & they were placed in a wide variety of case types and styles. This case measures 36mm (excluding crown), and features a nice contrast between the mirror-polished bezel, case sides & bevel and brushed upper lug finish. The screw back is brushed, unlike later versions that had a relief of the classic UN logo. The star burst brushed dial gives a number of lovely blues under different light. The applied markers and hands both have contrasting white inserts. The UN anchor is also applied. The hands have a pleasing gradual taper. The crown also has a raised anchor with U N letters.
