Great clip. A unique twist on an old complication. When I looked at the video there seem to be a slowing of the minute hand around the 30 minute mark at the lowest point of the arc and then picks up speed again. Is this true or is it an optical illusion

Setting this thing
Would drive me absolutely insane. While it is a cool feature and motion, waiting for the minute hand each hour is not exactly time efficient (pun intended).
