Need urgent advice

This is my first post, so please go easy on me

I have a 1846 that has a blue face and is 41mm. Model: 263-66-3-623 I brought it to a watch dealer in Montreal who had ordered me a new rubber band. The problem is he broke the screw when he was replacing the band. For some unkonwn reason his watch maker had to destroy the threads inside the watch to remove the broken screw.

My question is the following: Is the tube inside the watch replaceable? I can wear the watch if I want to because to is screwed on the otherside of the lug. The dealer said he has ordered a new tube and will replace it at his cost. It has been two months and I still have no watch and no tube. Do I have to purchase a new case (I really like this watch) and if so who can I turn to? I hope this makes sense as I am becoming frustrated and want to wear my watch.

According to the watch serial number you have provided, it is a Maxi Marine Chronometer 41 mm, and not an 1846. The tube you refer to is screwed into the lug on one side to hold the tube in place, and to complete the look a srcew is used on the other side...

Hello, The watchmaker has said he will pay for the piece. The case does not need to be replaced and yes a gentle reminder is in order. I have ordered parts before from the same watchmaker and I think he waits until he has a large enough order to submit it...
