Love your new model of one of my personal fav. UN families... the 1846 Marine Chronometer is to me where UN should focus more energy and seems to be going that way.
Enamel dials being another obsession of mine, your watch I'm very happy to see in the UN line up.
Cheers,
Tim

Thanks Nico. I know you can't love the date hole...

And it is very discreet, but still I would love the dial without any holes. Alas, it is perhaps the smallest date window I own on a watch, and with aging eyes I hardly see it!
Very nice π

Whats the size of this watch?
UN lists it as 41mm but it feels smaller.

That would be to the widest point of the bezel, and the case tapers in to probably 38mm or so where it meets the wrist. Quite fetching in the real.
+1! (nt)

Real Chronometer design

The case design is based on the real Board chronometer as the design made for the first serie in 1996. The design was made by Raimondo Brenni and Rolf Schnyder for 150 anniversary of UN. I love it. Nice choice and model
Here is the inspiration.

This Ship's Chronometer is from 1939. Works great, but I still need to send it to Switzerland for a new seconds hand. ...
Thanks Tony. It has some drool on it today...

From looking at your food posts!! Mama Mia, the sauce looks like Ma's. We had a red sauce with Italian sausage tonight, fresh grated Pecorino Romano. No photos, unless you want to see my bloated tummy...

I am set to wear mine today. I love it each time I do. I cannot get on board with UN's "no-lug" watches. I wish the brand would re-engage with some exciting new Marine pieces. How about some arabic numerals? New dials altogether are long overdue. Even the...
