Thank you.

Easy to operate, absolutely. But 44 Magnum is a load.

I love the feeling of power, but I usually do 50 rounds in a session w/ this caliber. 357 Magnum, more manageable but you still get a great feeling. If you are learning, I recommend starting with very low power, like .22. Too many times I see someone try ...

I bet that is enjoyable to shoot.

Do you know, what the differences are between Callahan’s .44 Magnum and yours? Regards, George

N frame model 29 versus a Performance Center model 629

Springfield’s finest revolvers, either way! Best, Wojo

Thanks Wojo

Just took a glance at the Smith & Wesson website and I noticed I’m an absolute nitwit when it comes to fire arms. I should do some read up to know at least the basics. Regards, George

As far as what they fire, nothing.

The Dirty Harry 44 is a factory blued 8 3/8" barrel. The "Magnum Hunter" in the photo w/ The Freak was a distributor exclusive made in the 90s. It is also an N-Frame, with a "round butt". Both are made by Smith & Wesson, not Springfield.

Thank you, Michael

Those revolvers are quite fascinating. As I wrote above, I know too little about them. Must do some reading to educate myself.

I love a good revolver.

Pistols and semi autos are much more popular, but I shoot these old Magnums very well. Plenty to research, good for you for looking into it

a good setup to kill time!

Those grips look very... grippy ;-)

I have only 1 for now.

 By: MichaelC : December 2nd, 2020-05:18
I am seriously considering a Turnbull blued 1911 with ivory grips. Always wanted one like that.

Both (Freak and the 1911s) are mechanically efficient

 By: Eddie1 : December 2nd, 2020-21:19
Watches and automatic guns. Nothing against revolvers, but just that the thinking behind the automation of the gun around the catridge (and the ballistics), particularly when the mechanism of the gun is extended to ARs, SMGs and GPMGs etc. and their funct...

Aah yah!

Geez, another favorite! I'll post more on this in Timeout at some point. One of our members founded the company in the UK and the products are simply outstanding. I have owned it and another MF piece for several years now. If only I could find more time t...

And good.

Nice Smith & Wesson

I have a couple of .44 magnums.. If you really want some abuse step up to a .454 Casull, mine is a beast.

In that case, try a 500!

 By: MichaelC : December 1st, 2020-16:05
I usually stick with one cylinder on that bad boy.

Ooooof, this Freak!!!

Beautifully designed objects that speak to each other in terms of style. I am fascinated with the design of the pistol. Amazing details.

Thanks Christian. This particular revolver is very architectural.

I just love it. Now, if I could only get the FPJ H&H model...

I love this Freak, and it always looks about perfect on your wrist.

 By: Jay (Eire) : December 1st, 2020-13:10
Don't know anything about the Magnum, but it looks cool (in terms of the treatment/finish).

Thanks Jay. 2 extremely enjoyable objects I hope to never part with.
