the food delivery business is booming because of the pandemic.








Many of the younger generation and the new grads are finding it hard to find jobs these days. With the demand in home delivery, there is an opportunity for those willing to take some risk.

Most Uber Eat & Deliveroo drivers are young students.. When I order food I don't add the tip online but prefer to give it to them in person.. still don't trust the restaurants that they will pass it on somehow..

That this home delivery already is a full industry in itself. Dominated by some large multinational firms that generally employ those students on minimal wages and benefits. For a student a nice way to make some pocket money but to seek a full time career...

Why was home delivery not more prevalent. In some part I put it down to many people have help at home, and so it was either not a chore to cook (as you were not doing it) or it was easy to go out (as you had childcare on demand). For the younger folks hom...

and with the recent restrictions placed on restaurant operating hours etc., this has exacerbated the need for take outs and delivery service.
