When I was living in the Bay Area, Michael, I would listen to Scully call Dodgers games on a Sony multi-band transistor radio . . .
. . . that was able to pick up broadcasts with minimal interference. When Jerry Reuss pitched a no-hitter in Candlestick, I was listening on the radio instead of watching on TV just for the allure of Vinnie's voice and incomparable baseball patois.
Thanks for the memories, Vin. You were and always will be the voice of the Dodgers.

I was born two days after the Dodgers announced they were moving to LA . . .
. . . in a hospital not two miles away from the future site of Dodger Stadium. I like to imagine myself as the original LA Dodgers fan. 😊
