...I saw it somewhere else recently. There are SO many song lyrics that are misinterpreted...I will have to think of some and report back.

Here you go ...here are some few that resonate with me

“Money for nothin’ and chips for free”. Correct lyric: “Money for nothin’ and your chicks for free” from Dire Straits “Every time you go away, you take a piece of meat with you”. Correct lyric: “Every time you go away take a piece of me with you” from Pau...

My memory may have failed, but I saw Jimi Hendrix perform in the late 60s and he pointed to his bass player Noel Redding as he sang "Excuse me while I kiss this guy."

A German friend of my spouse used to sing Under the Boardwalk by the Drifters as Unter der Bockwurst.

My misunderstandings of song lyrics are legion. Listening and relistening to songs trying to decode them - particularly those of R.E.M., who in their exciting phase never had lyrics published with their records - made for very pleasant memories, though. H...

Some serious writing skills to read. I heard of the name Francis Bacon, but never know what that guy does? An author? Actor? Cinema guy? Dancer? A colleague of Ernest Hemingway? Let’s take Ian Fleming. Many would recognize that name as the father of James...

He is not everyone's cup of tea as we say..

His distorted human form paintings are at best unsettling and uncomfortable to look at. Let's put it this way, he is one of those artists that you can't feel indifferent about.

aaah

It’s a painter. I think what i read wat you say, a very abstract painter. Some lines on canvas, some cow shit, walking with mudded boots on the canvas, and a famous work has born and hang in a famous NY museum.

Looks like a surrealistic painter

Dali for example. I love that work, and the molten clock is the best. Keep it on the subject.

Bacon was influenced by Picasso after attending an exhibition at the Chez Paul Rosenburg gallery in Paris in 1927 apparently.

Picasso’s surrealistic period only manifested itself in Bacon’s paintings after 1933 though..

Lol! . . .

Blinded by the light, revved up like a douche, another runner in the night - Manned Mann.

I really can’t stand this song. And I never understood why anybody would be revved up like a douche. Ok, so it’s deuce. But that makes even less sense than douche.

This cracked me up 🤣🤣🤣
