Yes,
I tried to get into the Casino (as well as in Monaco's) in the late eighties but they didn't allow me. I was 17 and arrived into a Fiat Panda 30 from Rome with other four crazy Italians (camping tent on the roof, obviously!). I wandered among the amazing cars and got a bit bored while my mates were enjoying themselves in there.

The Carlton restaurant on the beach is a great lunch spot. I first went to Cannes as a child and have been back fairly regularly. It’s a place to enjoy and then escape from and move on. Thanks for joining in with your memories.

a similar thing happened to a friend late one evening, unfortunately he fell asleep in the car and an hour later the driver declared that they had arrived. Wrong place completely in the opposite direction ... over two hours back in the car !
