I finally went and did it. The best part after cancelling my Platinum card was hearing the concierge who was pathetically reading a URL tell me that I had to “destroy” it. Yes dear I’ll just melt it down 🤯🤯🤯🤬🤬🤬…will have to find a replacement elsewhere. ps do not by Amex gift cards under any circumstances.

After calling Platinum a number of times
and being disconnected from gift card (a pathetic spinoff) I purchased a gift card for my niece for her birthday…I had to call Amex numerous times to activate it only to find it can’t be used in Denmark and then they would NOT REFUND a $1000.00 gift card!...
A great reminder to check terms & conditions.
I'm surprised they wouldn't take it back
As a platinum customer I should NEVER have
to watch my back with an Amex product. In fact most retailers don’t even take the gift cards…I feel like I’m in a sopranos episode.
I will never have another Amex card or accept Amex at my office.
They are simply the worst!
