My wife completed her first 1/2 Triathlon/Ironman ( the Eagleman, named after the Eagles found in this part of the Eastern shore on the Chesapeake Bay ) while she didn’t win 1st place ( which was her goal ) she did make the podium at 3rd place.
She already thinking about the next one. A certified Crazy person. I’m so proud of her!

As someone that now struggles to make it just to the car I really can't even imagine the level of fitness required to do an half Triathlon/Ironman. Marc
it’s funny, she been dissecting her results Vs other winners. She was only 3 min behind the male winner in the swim, so she is going to focus on the bike & run training for the next one. As I mentioned earlier, she is a Crazy person and I love her for it....
My question, as I used to be in that world for a while, is she going to Worlds? I assume 3rd in AG gets a spot but it’s been a while that I was around the sport so I’m not sure. Congrats to her again, to be out there participating is a challenge, to be co...
The challenge, is we have a 3 week trip to Asia leading up to Worlds and I’m not sure she would have time to train properly. Knowing her personality, she would be frustrated that her training schedule wouldn’t prepare her to compete adequately. I’ll suppo...

Nice, a decade of doing those is a serious commitment. Plus, running is a fabulous way of exploring and getting a feel for a city. Thanks again for chiming in Jay! Btw- I’m still in love with your RG C!
All downhill from here…and (a Tri joke) “aero”. Triathlon can be a really expensive sport. You might need to lock up your watches. (I actually sold a watch many years ago to fund a new bike purchase).
I’m super stroked that she’s jumping into this sport and not surprised around the associated costs. That’s some serious commitment, selling your watch for a bike. I hope it was something you didn’t love.
