A good question. In my case, i have nothing with knifes. Swords the same.

Lifestyles vary. For some a pocket knife is part of their edc just like a watch or wallet

I'm in a warehouse as much as I am am at a desk, I reach for a pocket knife more times / day than my wallet so a small folder follows me everywhere. Titanium to match my wedding ring and watch 😋 ...
