The blue tinted one is glass.
The red one is a solid steel ball that is used in industrial tumblers to break up rocks and make gravel. Probbaly weighs 5+/- pounds.

The blue one is actually a disguised staff of power. In case of an Orc invasion you lift it up which produces a staff that shoots out lightning bolts
