Too many great songs of music from the 80's. And speaking of the 80's, was in Vegas over the weekend so I'm trying to upload some videos I took from some of the parties that had some songs that really brought flashbacks from the 80's. Will share shortly! ...

its weird Snak, but i seem to have listed a lot of slow ballads even though i was a heavy rocker. i think that shows my musical profession coming out in my choices. most of my musical listening was done while i was at school and in the army as a musician....

and those first two were just amazing. I also loved his jazz fusion band Brand X which did some incredible records.

i have all the Brand X stuff on CD, but its not amongst my favourites. it needs too much concentration, but if you like Jazz/rock Fusion you should listen to the Ian Gillan Band - Clear Air Turbulance. one of the first albums he released after leaving dee...

" Psycho Chicken ", if I remember well, performed by " The Fools ". Was a greaaaatissime version, with true chicken inside. I'm a big fan of the Talking Heads. Remain in light was another terrific album, maybe my favourite! Best, Art. Nico Chicken.

Bohemiam Rhapsody was the first single i ever bought which is strange as i was never much of a Queen fan until their last CD before Freddie passed away. a classic CD with some of their best tracks IMO. G

i actually bought one of those "Best of Queen" compilation, i dont own the original album....must get my hands on one. when i was younger, i couldnt afford all the albums, in cassette tapes form. but i have build up a good CD collection from the 80s.

And Queen was then managed by John Reid. I remember seeing the demo of this video. No expense was spared on the state-of-the-art recording, which is why it looked and sounded so great.

they are truly the 80s icons...some others like U2 has evolved, and continue into today, or at least into the 90s. some of the younger members should prob start a 90s list. anything post 2000, i will prob fumble.

I learnt to appreciate Depeche Mode and Pet Shop Boys these last years... It was a bit too electronic music fro me in the 80ie,s I guess. But you're totally right, they are greatissime bands! Best, Nicolas

Ahhhh the good memories for each of these songs. I forgot these songs since I haven't listened to any 80's in a LONG time but damn there're good. I HIGHLY recommend to anyone who hasn't heard of the group Anything Box but who likes OMD, Pet Shop Boys, Era...

Supertramp "Crime of the Century" was one of the all-time classics, as were all the early Steely Dan records.

When I was a teenager I would go to my friends house to play Crime of the Century on his fathers stereo; Macintosh amps, B&O turntable and Klipsh cornwall speaker. Thought we were going to blow the windows out. Good times. JerryW

Having come of age in the 1980's leaves me with so many songs and bands that I loved. Here is a quick list of songs that I not only loved then, but still find on my current playlists: 1) The The - This is the Day 2) The Smiths - How Soon is Now 3) Oingo B... 

Seems that we listened to the same bands! Echo and the Bunnymen, Psychedelic Furs, The Cars ( Damn, I love this Band and I am a big fan of Rick Occasek ) and ... The Boomtown rats ( " I don't like Mondays ")....Without forgetting the Damned and Brian Jame... 

Saw him in concert back in the day. Great shows. Killer guitar player (Steve Stevens). Great songs. The guy still tours and looks good today. Who could forget "White Wedding"?

He also played with Blue Oyster Cult ( a legandary band, by the way ) and with Rick Occasek on one of his albums. Steve Vai is another one. Well, some 15 years ago, I was in a bar in Paris, and Billy Idol was here... He ruined all the bar... Best, Nicolas

Great band. Discovered them in the late 80s. Glad I found most of their CDs before they went out of print. Also have some vinyl of theirs.

Most people in America know their song "Oh Yeah" since it has been used in a number of movies, TV shows, and commercials but have no idea about their other works. Personally, I think that Stella was their best album, although You Gotta Say Yes to Another ...
