The idea was to create something way above the newly started beta quartz project.
First of all, radiation was a problem. Second, it became way too big. Third, it really did not work as planned.
So the project was scrapped.
That’s the story. And my dear friend did not suffer from radiation. But he wore a densiometer to work every day.
He also has a very interesting clock in his living room. With a temperature compensated pendulum.
