It is said...
...that Sir Ian McKellen will star as 'Number 2' and Jim Cavaziel as 'Number 6' in a movie version of Patrick McGoohan's cult series 'The Prisoner'. Those of us with sufficient grey hair and a masochistic bent will remember the series very fondly. Ironic that it should finally come to the big screen in the year that McGoohan left the mortal coil.
There can be no middle ground here - it will either be a terrific homage or a disappointing flop. Some of us still have not recovered from the 'Bonfire of the Vanities' experience.
