For years, I have had an off an on trigger finger on my right hand. But for these past 2 years straight, the finger locked up every time I closed my hand. Why did I wait so long to fix it? Because I am stupid, that is why. Simple surgery, but unfortunatel...
Many years ago, after cracking a rib, I got through 3 months and it felt great. I thought "no restrictions", even though the doctor said to wait longer. I did a light workout, and then another, without issues. The 3rd time I started pushing, and bam, rese...
And I primarily shoot with the left. So the house security is still fully operational ;-) I still owe you a good Model 29 post, and I will get to it ASAP! Thanks for the kind words, Abel.
I see your home keeps being safe! Wishing you’ll recover fast and fully operational with both hands soon. I look forward to your Model 29 post but please get well first my friend! A big hug for you! Abel
So many health issues are more serious. But I count my blessings and thank God for a successful procedure and expected outcome. Appreciate your support my Friend!
that's really starting to compromise ability to ride my bikes and motorcycle that really sucks. We're just like watches or cars, eventually parts start to wear out. Hope your finger is back to normal soon!
They can offer a cortisone shot, and for some people it calms the issue and surgery is not needed. Mine has been problematic too long, so we went straight for the more predictable solution.
hand surgeons are doing it yet. And recovery is a long process with lots of PT needed. The old surgical fix is good for pain reduction but you lose strength and some function. After 45 years of riding sport bikes I suppose I could give that up but I'm not...
Reading the bible has really changed me. I can't read and believe and not put into practice the countless lessons. Growing up Italian in Boston... well let's just say it is a major discipline to give up swearing, and a continued work-in-progress!
Good to be in practice. At my local range, I always seem to end up next to the guy shooting an AR15, and occasionally an AR10... it is extremely unnerving. I understand if you need to check function or ammo cycling, but most of these guys are popped up on...
Sorry to hear that you had a problem with your finger for so long and glad that you decided to fix it. Waiting for your good news on the recovery process, please don’t forget to update if you feel like it.
I am already feeling better mobility in the finger, and believe this will be a permanent solution. It is hard to not be doing most anything with this hand, and it will take some time to get back to weightlifting and other strenuous activities. But as long...
I know what it’s like not to be able to use a hand and stay with just one, it’s really frustrating, but it passes and I’m hoping soon you will forget the operation and its aftermath. Hope you can go back to lifting soon. All the best!
. . . that he had no choice. He tried different therapies in the final year before going under the knife, but he should've had knee replacement a long time ago. Glad you're on the mend, Michael. Best, Art
And now my punishment, missing out on fun summer activities that I should have been all clear for had I done this 4-5 months ago. Oh well, I will get there. Thanks for the support, my Friend!
