Battalion of Strangers was another of my favourite,n with Marliese.
About the other bands, I had a very wide selection from the Clash, Talking Heads, the Cure, Blondie, the Cars, Damned, the Cars, to Pink Floyd, Opposition, Original Mirrors and so on...

U2 + Simple Minds + almost every music they played (invented) in that era ... all the music (Punk, Rock, Gay, Skin, Pop, NewWave ... ) was amazing ! Most music nowadays is so simple ..... or ... are we getting older ??? Filip

Agreed, Simple Minds was a real favorite.
I remember seeing them in concert about 8 or 9 years ago in NY with Howard Jones and Culture Club. Their songs always give me a nostalgic feeling. Seems as though they have a new album and Euro tour underway.
