I've played with a handful of full-splice cues, pretty sure never . . .

 

. . . with a half-splice.  The workmanship involved is time-consuming, and probably the major reason collector's cues are costly compared to players.  


Thanks very much for the tutorial, Lépine.  I was aware of how complicated spliced cues are to make, but the civilians here likely have no clue.  I don't know how long it takes current cue-makers with computer assisted tooling to make a full-splice; a full-splice Denali made the old-fashioned way takes at least a year if not more.
