… how to appreciate an extraordinary artisan work and specially love the warmth, texture and colors of wood.

So I can say your new cue is a fantastic piece and I’m sure you’ll be making your awesome magic at the pool table with it soon.

I always enjoy your videos and agree with the old saying : it’s the indian not the arrow! Though a good and beautiful tool always helps and inspires I feel.

Thank you so much for sharing and look forward to see this cue in action soon!

Cheers! Abel

 By: Dr No : September 14th, 2022-18:16
. . . almost ready for action. Ironwood handle, . . . . . . Kauri forearm and butt. Ferrule being glued to . . . . . . a walnut shaft. This cue should be as good a player as a looker. Who says "it's the Indian, not the arrow"? Called shots, all. I've rece...

Looks like that Cue is an extension of your arm!

Thirteen at the moment excluding the Kauri / ironwood cue that's almost done . . .

. . . and the Honduran rosewood burl / Makore cue on which construction has just started. That count doesn't include those I've had made for friends (including pplater) or gifted; the total count of cues I've had made is well over twenty.

Wow, impressive!

Actually fourteen, Nicolas - forgot about one back at the shop . . .

 By: Dr No : September 15th, 2022-18:07
. . . awaiting restoration.

Even better!

 By: amanico : September 15th, 2022-18:31

Actually, there's one, Nicolas - an ironwood/huon player - . . .

 By: Dr No : September 29th, 2022-19:39
. . . that's also in the works. So fifteen altogether.

Two are dedicated for breaking, Nicolas, one with a laminated maple shaft . . .

 By: Dr No : September 29th, 2022-20:14
. . . for breaking 8-ball . . . . . . and another with a purpleheart shaft for breaking 3-ball. The others are all playing cues, but since they're specified with different shafts, ferrules, tips and joints, they have differing playing characteristics. Wha...

You are such a sniper. ;)

I can kill at long range . . .

 By: Dr No : September 29th, 2022-20:26
. . . or short. 🎯

Don Turo in action. ;)

Here's another called break . . .

 By: Dr No : September 15th, 2022-15:37
. . . for good measure. Made three consecutively in a practice session once.

Those are some....

serious SkillZ!! The cue, predictably, looks gorgeous. This is just another topic I could learn heaps about from speaking to you amigo .... Looking forward to seeing it in person! Cheers, Filip

Slept thru geometry class . . .

 By: Dr No : September 15th, 2022-18:43
. . . so if I can make this shot now . . . . . . anyone can. With enough practice, of course. 😌

Ball abuse.

 By: TheMadDruid : September 15th, 2022-16:19
That’s what I call it.

Technically? When the black one . . .

 By: Dr No : September 15th, 2022-18:04
. . . drops. ...

So…

 By: TheMadDruid : September 15th, 2022-20:52
the white ball drops the black ball

It is a beautiful cue, by the way.

 By: TheMadDruid : September 15th, 2022-20:53

Both Kauri and ironwood are scarce timbers . . .

 By: Dr No : September 15th, 2022-21:01
. . . so having both in a cue is probably unheard of 'til now.

Very tactful.

Excellent use of discretion.
