I've spent quite a bit of time reading up and visiting the SVI, STI, Ed Brown websites. I read about the history of STI and how Strayer Voigt left them in '94 to establish SVI. Then I read about SVI
. Very cool stuff. I watched several videos of the manufacturing process at Ed Brown and their various models (beavertail, thumb safety, contours look phenomenal!). I also looked of course at all of the offering on the official web pages and have to say that I can't shake the impression that SVI offers the most hi-tech stuff. As I mentioned to Ming I guess I held back from learning what it is that really sets apart these most expensive 1911s from the rest, but now that I've looked into it thoroughly I fully understand and realize why they cost so much. Their component manufacturing process is similar to that of Aston Martin in the automotive world
. It's just bloody gorgeous LOL, I wouldn't mind having that gun in pieces hanging on the wall as art
. Anyway, here's the piece I liked most on the STI website for a change
